Wow, that’s a big promise. “Affiliate Marketing Made Simple”. Gosh. Affiliate Marketing Beginners, good luck!
Anyway.
Essentially there are four steps:
1. Set up the website you’re going to recommend your affiliate products on. This should be a single-themed, high quality site. I’ll show you how to set one up in my next post. Choose a theme you know about or are willing to find out about.
Cost: About $10 for a domain name and about $8 a month for web hosting.
2. Research good keywords to target on your site. Your keywords are critical to your success; these are the words people type into search engines to find out about your theme. For example “best cat collars”. You use Google, right? So you know yourself the kind of things people type, but we can get more targeted keywords by using keyword tools. I’ll cober this in more detail soon.
Cost: Google have a free keyword research tool, but there are a number of paid tools that do a great job, too.
3. Write articles using the keywords you found in step 2, then submit them to article sites. These will be at least 400 words and will aim to solve the reader’s problem (the reason they went to Google in the first place). By the way, other search engines are available, but, er, so what? It’s still Google that counts.
Cost: None, in fact you might even make some money here (again, details later).
4. Add more content to your website.
Cost: free
5. Ok, I know I said four, but this one is very simple: repeat steps one to four. Often.
So, that’s affiliate marketing in a nutshell. I’ll expand on these topics in future posts. Affiliate marketing made easy, right?
Total cost: less than $20
